By accident I found this UN report on illegal resources exploitation in the DR Congo. This unfurtunate region have to live with violence, war and displacements since decades, due to its richness of natural resources that a crucial for the world economy. 60% of the world deposits of the mineral tantalum (electronics), 30-40% of Cobalt (batteries, semicoductors), almost the same for Coltan, Diamants, Niobium, Gold are located in the eastern part of the Country. Warlords, Paramilitary Groups and offical Forces are trying to get control over the deposits and finance their troops with Exploition-concessions for international companies....to be continued
